Subject: A big day for Joby Aviation

From: info@jobyaviation.com

Dear friends,

Today is a big day for Joby Aviation! As well as sharing footage of our all-electric aircraft for the first time, we’re announcing that we are merging with Reinvent Technology Partners - a special purpose acquisition company - to take Joby public.

For the last 10 years, we’ve been quietly designing and testing an emissions-free aircraft that takes off and lands vertically. It’s quiet when taking off, near silent when flying overhead, and is designed to transport a pilot and four passengers 150+ miles on a single charge, at speeds of up to 200mph.

Today, with more than 1,000 test flights behind us, we’re looking ahead to the next decade and the introduction of our aerial ridesharing service. The funds secured as part of this deal are expected to carry us through to our first passenger flights in 2024, helping us take a really big step towards our vision of saving a billion people an hour every day.

We’re delighted to be welcoming LinkedIn Co-Founder and Reinvent Technology Partners Co-lead Director, Reid Hoffman to our Board as part of the transaction, and we thank you, friends, for your continued support of Joby.
