Subject Company: Joby Aviation

Commission File No. 001-39524

Hi, I’m Joeben Bevirt, the founder of Joby Aviation.

Growing up I dreamt of building an airplane that I could fly from the meadow amidst the redwoods where I was born - a new form of quiet and clean mobility.

And, at Joby Aviation, that’s what we’ve been working on for more than a decade.

Behind me you can see how close we are to realizing that dream.

This aircraft is all-electric. While quiet in vertical take off, it is near silent in fly over, opening unprecedented new opportunities for traveling in both congested cities and under-served rural communities.

Our long term vision is to build a global passenger service with this aircraft, saving a billion people an hour every day, while helping to protect our precious planet.

Today, we’re taking a really big step towards that goal.

We’re merging with Reinvent Technology Partners, a special purpose acquisition company led by Reid Hoffman, Mark Pincus and Mark Thompson.

By combining our companies and becoming a public company, we’re securing Joby’s future, allowing us to focus on certifying our aircraft and preparing for the start of passenger flights in 2024.

Our merger has been designed to deliver unprecedented long term alignment of the company leadership, existing investors, and the Reinvent team to deliver on this audacious goal of building a new human transportation network.

I am so incredibly grateful for each and every person who has contributed to this ambitious effort. Thank you to the Joby team for your inspiring determination and dedication! Thank you to our investors and partners for making this work possible. Thank you to the team at Toyota for working side by side with us as we prepare to manufacture at scale. And finally thank you to all of you in the global community for cheering us on.

We still have a long and challenging journey ahead of us, but with the reinvent team at our side we are one step closer to making this fantastic future real.

We can’t wait to welcome you onboard.
